Frequently Asked Questions
How many displays can HD1400K connect?
It connects one HDMI source to five displays: one local HDMI monitor and four remote displays through the included HDBaseT receivers.
Can it really extend 4K60 to 120 meters?
Yes. With suitable point-to-point category cabling, the HDBaseT links support up to 120m at 4K60. At 1080p60, the maximum specified distance is 150m.
Do the receivers need separate power adapters?
No. PoC sends power from the 24V transmitter to all four matching receivers through their category cables.
Can the HDMI audio be sent to an amplifier?
Yes. The transmitter offers coaxial and analog L/R audio extraction, and every receiver offers a 3.5 mm stereo output for a remote audio system.
Can I connect the HDBaseT signal through a network switch?
No. HD1400K is a direct HDBaseT extension system. Each transmitter output must connect directly to its matching receiver and must not pass through an Ethernet switch.
What cable installation method is recommended?
Use shielded CAT6, CAT6A or CAT7 cable with shielded connectors and T568B wiring. Keep category cables away from high-voltage power lines and avoid mixing receivers from other HDBaseT systems.
⚠ Operational Deployment Notes
- Use certified premium HDMI 2.0 cables and keep each HDMI input or output cable within the specified 5-meter limit.
- Use shielded CAT6, CAT6A or CAT7 cable, shielded RJ45 connectors and the T568B wiring standard for stable long-distance transmission.
- Each HDBaseT link is a direct point-to-point connection. Do not connect the RJ45 ports to an Ethernet network switch.
- Do not mix the transmitter or receivers with incompatible third-party HDBaseT equipment or apply separate receiver power while PoC is active.
- Avoid routing category cables parallel to AC power cables, motors or other strong electromagnetic interference sources.
- Use only the original certified DC 24V / 2.7A power adapter and complete all signal connections before applying power.
